Here, you will explore the third-oldest river in the world, located deep in the rigged Pisgah National Forest. Featuring non-stop excitement on America's Olympic River - rafting on the Ocoee River in Cleveland, Tennessee is synonymous with big waves, warm water, and continuous action! Nantahala Outdoor Center offers two trips on the Ocoee, with the most popular being an action-packed half-day trip featuring five miles of continuous Class III-IV rapids. The most exciting trip, perhaps, is the full-day Ocoee rafting trip. This combines the traditional Middle Ocoee trip with the Class IV Ocoee Olympic Whitewater Center - site of the 1996 Olympics!

Flowing along the northern border of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park near Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, the Big Pigeon River features splashy waves with continuous action! NOC offers rafting trips on two sections of the Pigeon. For many families, rafting in the Pigeon Gorge is the highlight of their Smoky Mountain vacation! The Upper Pigeon provides a full dose of Class III excitement and Smoky Mountain scenery in just three short hours. For families with children three & up, the Lower Pigeon is the perfect float trip with gentle rapids, swimming holes, and beautiful scenery.
